The great pumpkin planting, June 16
We had a five person crew: The farmer, plus Deva, Arturo (a CSA shareholder), and August & Renee (regular helpers).

Each pumpkin start got a generous helping of complete organic fertilizer, which we mixed on the spot: Seed meal, 3 kinds of lime, and some rock phosphate.

Buckwheat field, June 16
I managed to till a small section out there, but couldn't do more because the sod is just too established. Need a tractor, really. I sowed buckwheat here, in preparation for an over-wintering crop of some sort, perhaps Walla Walla onions.
